A message from Lily:

“Hi, I am Lily Hoffman. I am a thirteen year old girl who faces different challenges every day. As most of you girls and women know, it can be scary to walk alone on the street — guys cat-calling you, and also the possibility of them following you home.  

In sixth grade I started walking to and from school alone. The loud beeps always made me jump, the stares made me feel hollow, and the gross and rude comments lowered my self-confidence. The men that do this to me on my many walks home made me feel weak and helpless.

And it didn’t help that in school, I was always chosen last in sports out of all the guys because I was considered too “ weak” to play with them.

I joined EvolveAll when I was six years old. At that age, I didn’t know there was such thing as misogyny. But as I grew older, I realized that I am not weak, and I am definitely not helpless. I have one family to thank for this, and that is EvolveAll.
