Have you heard we are adding a Capoeira class? That’s right, starting the week of March 4th we will offer Capoeira classes for adults on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Capoeira is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that combines elements of dance, acrobatics, music, and culture. Capoeira involves fluid, rhythmic movements, often performed in a circle called a “roda,” accompanied by traditional music played on instruments such as the berimbau, atabaque, and pandeiro. Capoeira practitioners engage in a game of physical dialogue, where they exchange movements in a non-competitive manner, demonstrating agility, creativity, and respect for their partners.
